Element Collection

Subtractive sculptural benches shaped from salvaged Douglas fir into one-of-one statement pieces.

Carved from salvaged Douglas fir, the Element Collection highlights exceptional grain patterns, knots, mineral streaks, color variation, and structural checks and splits. Sourcing relies exclusively on a Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) prescribed fuel-reduction plan and old-growth sections abandoned by early 1900s timber operations. Derived from a single monolithic base, each piece preserves the original scale, density, and sculptural mass of the material.

Nathan Majeski designs and builds the Element Collection with a dedicated team of artisan craftspeople within a solar-supported studio. Collective discussion initiates every design before the team hand-carves the wood into its final form. Natural aging develops distinct surface character over time, ensuring every bench remains a one-of-one work of art.

Quarry and Canopy Collection

Finite forest floor remnants and ethically collected quarry stone, salvaged into one-of-one architectural forms.

Built from salvaged redwood remnants and ethically collected quarry stone, the collection forms unique architectural botanical armatures for interior and exterior spaces. Every redwood remnant carries the deep history of old-growth material through weathered grain, charred surfaces, natural curvature, and generations of environmental exposure. The resulting work preserves that material record while providing structural support for mounted botanicals, including orchids, moss, vines, and epiphytic plant compositions.

Nathan Majeski Design Studio

Nathan Majeski designs and builds the Quarry and Canopy Collection alongside a dedicated team of artisan craftspeople in a solar-supported studio. Collaborative studio practice remains rooted in material knowledge, hand assembly, and botanical design. The artisan team shapes every piece through a profound understanding of wood, stone, structure, and design.
